VISION QUEST

Vision Quest is an ancient rite of passage observed and practiced by indigenous peoples worldwide. Undertaken to discover greater meaning and purpose in one's life, it is a Sacred communion with the Source and with one's self. Known as Hanbleceya ("Crying for a Dream") in the Lakota language, through a personal Sacrifice- fasting, prayer and time spent alone in Nature- one humbles oneself before the "Spirits" to be blessed with Vision, insight and clarity. It is a search to receive answers to the dilemmas and questions confronting each and every one of us. This ceremony is performed in a traditional manner.

Prerequisite: The Shaman's Journey or prior experience with journeywork.
